ZeroTab ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Chrome extension collects, uses, and discloses information.

1. Data Collection and Usage

ZeroTab is designed to respect your privacy. We strictly limit data usage to the minimum required for the extension's functionality.

• Local Storage: ZeroTab saves your settings, widget configurations, and layout preferences directly in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage). This data never leaves your device and is not synced to our servers.
• No Analytics: We do not track your browsing history, search queries, or collect usage analytics.

2. External API Requests (Proxy Functionality)

A core feature of ZeroTab allows you to create custom widgets that fetch data from third-party external websites or APIs (e.g., weather services, crypto prices, news feeds).

To enable this functionality within the secure browser environment, requests initiated by your custom widgets are proxied through the extension's background process using the permission.

Regarding this data:

• We act solely as a conduit (tunnel). We do not collect, analyze, store, or log the URLs you request or the content of the data returned by these third-party services.
• The data is processed temporarily in the browser's memory solely to return the result to your widget.

3. Third-Party Services

When you configure a widget to connect to a third-party service, you are interacting directly with that service provider. ZeroTab is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any service you choose to connect to.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

5. Payments and Licensing

ZeroTab offers a Pro version which is purchased and managed through Gumroad.

• License Verification: When you activate the Pro version, the extension sends the license key you provide to Gumroad's API (`api.gumroad.com`) to verify its validity.
• Data Handling: We do not handle or store your payment information (credit card numbers, etc.). All payment processing is handled securely and exclusively by Gumroad. Please refer to Gumroad's Privacy Policy for more details.
